Group of Prayer at a Distance
GOAD is a strategic digital evangelism initiative promoted by Church Fire on the Altar. It uses tools such as WhatsApp, Zoom and Google Meet to build a bridge of hope toward people who are not believers or who are far from the faith, wherever they may be.
Weekly prayer space
One hour each week focused on listening to requests, encouraging people through prayer and sharing the Word of God.
Initial discipleship
Under the guidance of a trained leader, GOAD provides initial discipleship and temporary accompaniment.
The goal is the local church
The goal is not to retain people in virtual meetings, but to encourage them to join a healthy local church or a daughter/sister congregation of Church Fire on the Altar when one is available in their area.
